All Diocesan events abide by the Safeguarding practices, youth ministry guide and Child Protection Policy of the Diocese of Bunbury. All volunteers /leaders supplied by us undergo a screening procedure which includes interviews, code of conducts, reference checks and a Working with Children Check. We take Child Protection very seriously and have established reporting structures and child protection management procedures that all our volunteers are trained in. Young people will be expected to respect any rules and follow instructions given to them by volunteers/leaders/staff while attending the event. http://bunburycatholic.org.au/our-people/safeguarding-office/
Commitment & Getting the most out of Camp
We are committed to making sure that all our events are enjoyable and meaningful for our young people. Summer Camp is a unique and special experience that is carefully constructed to ensure everyone has a fun, meaningful and awesome time. Camp is a cumulative and bonding experience that we work hard to make happen. In order for young people to get the most out of camp, it is important that they are present for the entire duration of the camp. Permission will not be given to young people to arrive late or leave camp early unless in an emergency situation or by agreement with the Camp Coordinator. Participants should also understand that they will be separated from their friends so that they can interact with other young people and make new friends. Don't worry - camp will be full of great and friendly young people who are all in the same boat!
